William A. Henry b. 1804, Botetourt Co. VA married Elizabeth Francis Russell b. 1813 TN in 1831 Hardin Co. Sarah Henry of Botetourt Co. VA married John T. Wirt 1815 in Botetourt. They were in the 1820 VA Census and then either John Wirt died enroute to Hardin Co. or before the 1830 Hardin Census. Sarah is listed in the following 1830 Hardin Co. TN Census # 417 Sally Wirt 00101-021001 The boy 10-15 would be Alexander Henry The male 20-30 William A. Henry By 1840 Alexander Henry was a newlywed and residing by Sarah Wirt below: 1840 Hardin Co. TN Census Sarah Wirt 0-00010001 Alexander Henry 00001-0001 Then 1850 Alexander Henry has disappeared and his family is living with Sarah Henry Wirt: 1850 Census - Hardin County, Tennessee - 2nd Civil District - 46-46 Taken Jan. 2, 1851 Sarah Wirt 64 F Virginia Lucinda Henry 24 F Virginia 12 William Henry 9 M Tennessee Alexander Henry 7 M Tennessee Margaret A. Henry 2 F Tennessee Does anyone have the above Henrys in their lines? If so, would you have Lucinda's maiden name? I have been unable to locate anything regarding Alexander Henry in the records of Hardin Co. It appears Sarah Wirt sold her property below: Page 505 Dated 04/12/1849 - Registered 11/18/1850 - SARAH WIRT of Hardin Co. TN to J. C. POOL of Hardin Co. TN $170.00 161 3/4 acres on the waters of Indian Creek in Range 13, Section 1 bordering Entry No. 220 in the name of Charles McAnally, Entry No. 161 in the name of John Longo - Witnessed by *Henry Benham, Samuel Watson *Believe this name should be Henry Barham. It appears that first Alexander Henry and then following the 1850 Hardin Co. Census the rest of this family simply rode off into the sunset. (grin) I haven't been able to locate them in TN, AR or surrounding states. Does anyone know if the J. C. Pool family was related to the Pools who moved to Jackson Co. AR in the 1850's as did the William Henry family and several of the Russell's? In fact, when researching the northeast AR counties we find almost duplicates of the surnames in Hardin and Wayne Counties of TN. I'm also very interested in the Hawkins families of Hardin Co. Several deeds concerning the Hawkins were witnessed by my ggrandfather William A. Henry and the Davys. Nancy Davy, dau. of Richard Davy and Elizabeth Perkins, married George D. Morrow. George Morrow and Nancy Davy's daughter Nancy married James Henry b. 1840 Hardin Co., abt. 1865 in AR. James Henry a son of William A. Henry and Elizabeth Francis Russell. Sincerely, Carolyn Mason Anderson Researching the following direct ancestors in Hardin Co.: Henry, Russell, Berry and Smith, with many extended lines. Notify Administrator about this message?
