Hi Mike,

I admit that I am not very knowledgeable on James Montgomery (aka Major James Montgomery as I refer to him) but would like to learn more. I take care of the Shady Grove Cemetery where I believe that he and possibly his first wife and very likely his second wife Elizabeth are buried without markers. I would like to talk with you further and see if there is any chance you can confirm any of my "feelings" about the Montgomerys of Shady Grove Community. My email is and my Shady Grove website that I just put up is Like to hear from you.
