Patricia, you are quite welcome. I assume you have examined the census records. Another book you might want to search is "Hardeman County Historical Sketches" published by the Hardeman County Historical Society in 1979. Also, there are a couple of books containing cemetery inscriptions from the area, one is "Cemetery Inscriptions & Notes Southwestern Hardeman County Tennessee" by Owens-Davidson-Cox (1995). It is a multi-volume work. I don't know how much or how little you know of this fellow so its kind of hard to point you in any certain direction. For some reason the surname ISOM seems strangely familiar to me but I just can't recall where I might have seen it. I'll do a little more thinking about him.
