In the early 1900s the Orphanage had its own school build-ing for grades 1-6, and possibly grades 7-8 but in the 1940s, children in grades 7-8 were sent to a school across town. You can get more information on this from the Orphan-age records. She was probably either adopted or sent to work for that family by the orphanage and THIS INFORMATION SHOULD BE IN HER RECORDS.
