Dotson Family

William A. Dotson b 1783 North Carolina married to Elizabeth Nancy Raynor. They had their children (13) in Tennessee and moved to Arkansas abt 1840.
Two of his sons moved to Texas after the census of 1850. One of them a George Jefferson Dotson, my 3x great grandfather. Some of George Jefferson Dotson's children (all born in Pope county Arkansas) stayed behind in Arkansas. Am looking for information on his 2 sons, William b abt 1832 and a Martin b abt. 1837. Family tradition has William as being married and with at least one child a daughter. William had some trouble with another man over land and this man shot and killed him in front of his daughter. Don't know wife's name. His son Martin was supose to have been a Sheriff in Izard County. I have more information on the Dotson family. Also have a copy of "The Dodson (Dotson) Family of North Farnham Parish, Richmond County, Virginia: A History and Genealogy of Their Descendants" Vol. 1 by Mrs. Sherman Williams, complier and Editor and The Rev. Silas Emmett, Lucas, Jr., Publisher. Willing to help and share with others.
