I want to know if he had a son named William C. McDonald. This is my ancestor, and I know he was born in TN about 1808 according to census records, but have never been able to tie him to any family. I went through the McDonalds in the 1820 census in Tennessee, and came up with about 8 names who had a son the right age to be William. Alexander was one of them.
