Back in June I put out a message on a event and had a response of over 5000 emails. With this many people interested in this event we went to work getting the town of Cumberland Gap for the main center point for the event.
A web page has been started giving the information about the area and commendations we are putting up a hundred mile radius of towns with commendations, research libraries, and as we get information on Vendors, speakers, Authors, traditional craft people we will get them posted. Before we could start the web page, we needed to know if the event was going to happen, with that said the web page is www.wil-syl.com/Jamboree3/ We have had a lot of suggestions that we are going to try to do. One was to have family pedigree charts posted thought out the event with contact information. But for this to happen we need people like yourselves to send in the pedigree charts, and/or family group sheets either email or mail with contact information.
At this time the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park and Wilderness State Park (Martinís Station) has come on board to be part of this Historic Event.
We need your help getting the information out, please pass it on (web sites, local libraries, research centers, Societies) just let me know so we do not duplicate efforts being done. We need hard work getting the information out, and we have 6 months, the more people the better.
We have a large number of authors, family surname, societies and crafts vendors that ask to be part of this event. So if anyone out there wants to set a family tent or are part of a society or a traditional craft or author that sells please let us know.
Exhibitor, Pedigree, Flier forms can be printed off the web site
The money from the exhibitors is being donated to the Cumberland Gap Volunteer Fire Department, no one attached to this event is making money from Exhibitor fees or sponsor fees.
During the event we will need volunteers for this outdoor event to do varies tasks as the fire Dept will be doing crowd control and varies major tasks, most of volunteer items would be in the mornings of the event let me know.
With this in mind start saving, past the word, post it where you can. And at the event have fun.
