J. Hampton family
Posted by: Melody Norman-Camp (ID *****5411) Date: August 27, 2009 at 19:02:38

My direct ancestor was James Newton Hampton, b. about 1837 in TN, believed to be son of a J. Hampton listed in 1850 Carroll County, TN census. I have ancestry info. on a James Hampton (who was also listed in that census), & his father Nolan, but do not know how they are connected to J. Hampton and his son James N. (I am assuming the N stands for Newton). James Newton ended up in Bexar County, TX by 1860. Can anyone make connections? It would even be helpful to know what J. Hampton's first name was!
