Thanks! I'll certainly look around on the site to see if someone connects to my group.

I did eventually find the husband of Martha. I found a marriage record for Martha Hall or Hale in Cannon County - married Thomas Jefferson Brewer on 14 Feb 1849. My Martha's first child was born in April 1850, so this is probably her. Thomas is listed on the 1860 mortality schedule - died in Feb 1860, which explains why he wasn't on the 1860 census.
