Elisha Loyd, wife, Sarah "Sally"

Anyone researching the Loyd's in Bedford Co - do you have an Elisha LOYD? I know his wife's name is Sarah (Sally), but do not know her maiden name. Would someone know her maiden name? They had at least one child, James Daniel, b. 1847 near Shelbyville. If I could find her maiden name, I might be able to make some headway on my search of this Loyd family. I have lots of descendants of James and his family. I just can't get anywhere finding anything about his parents, other possible siblings, etc. James went to Arkansas as a young man of 15-16. Don't know if he went alone.

Elisha and Sarah's names were found on James D.'s death certificate. But, her maiden name was so faded on the certificate, could only make out three or four letters, then not positive about them. Very frustrating to say the least. On top of that, we had always been told James's father's name was "Howell". So, surprise, surprise, I now know "Howell" is Elisha. But, who is "Howell"? Don't know that either. Need help big time with this whole puzzle. Thanks in advance for any help.

Sydney
