The only thing the book says about the Alexanders is as follows:

Page 361-James Alexander, 19 August 1866
Wife Elizabeth Alexander, Children by Elizabeth Alexander: Susanah S.B., Emily H.,Micaja C.,Robert H.,Joseph H.E.,and Martha M.C. Alexander. Children by my 1st wife: Mary Ann Alexander, Henry V., John L.,Rebecca F.,William J.,Elizabeth Wyatt and Sarah J. Blythe to get 60 acres, east of where I now live in the 9th district. Executor Henry V. Alexander, Witnesses: C.L. Cooper and M.B. Damron. Probated December 1878.

Amos P. Balch married in Warren County , Kentucky to Miss Polly Sawyers (March 10, 1826) NB

Year 1808
Feb 16, 108-Land for sale- For Taxes 1807
Amos Balch, 1000 acres on Duck River above Sugar Creek.

July 13, 1810

Married- Married on Thursday evening the 5th July, Mr. James W. Patton to Miss Rhoda Balch, daughter of Mr. Amos Balch, all of Bedford County.
