Denise --

Sarah J and Pleasant Maxwell were 1st cou, as their fathers were bro, and their mothers were sis. Sarah d/o John Wilkes Maxwell and 2nd wife Mahala Stem. Pleasant s/o Newton C Maxwell and wife Nancy Stem. Stem sisters were 1st cou of Thos F Bullock who md Amy K Maxwell, sis of Wilkes and Newton. These 3 Maxwells were 1st cou of my gGF, Malcom G Maxwell, Sr.

RE the Claxtons, I've only followed Elizabeth and Joshua, and then only because they or their children had ties to my Maxwell line, with a possible link via Sikes to Wheeler. Nathan Wheeler bn ca 1783 SC dd 12 NOV 1842 BC, TN. Md 2X, had 5 ch. Buried in Reeves-Wheeler cem 1 mi south of Three Corner Gardens, BC, TN. Whether or not the Wheelers were kin to my mother, MANY md my father's relatives in the Maxwell fam.

Next question?

Stephen Sanders bur fam cem 1 mi No of North Fork Church, Bedford CO, TN. Died 19 JUN 1910

Joshua Claxton bur Jones Cem near Poplin Crossroads. He was GF of Sybil (Russell) Poplin, 1st wife of Richard R Poplin, who is pres of BC, TN, Hist Soc - AND he's one of my Maxwell cousins!!
