Jerimish Holt 6-23-1858 mar. on 5-10-1875 to Margaret A. (Maggie) Allen b. 1858 Franklin Co. TN.
She is the dgt. of Jackson(John) George Allen b.1823/26 TN or VA, died abt. 1883 TN, buried Hurrican Cemetary ( I think near Tullahoma TN) Jackson married Mary (Polly) Johnston b.11 or 12 1815 Rutherford Co. TN d.
after 1887 also bur. at Hurrican Cem.
1880 J. G. Allen 80 acres bordered by High, Williams, Morgan Minor, D?, and J. H. Holt in Moore Co. TN
1881 J. G. Allen 90 acres bordered by Holt, also in Moore Co. TN
This Allen family had been on the 1850 and 1870 Bedford Co. Census and 1860 Franklin Co. Census.
by 1888 J.G. and Mary had died and the tax on their land was being paid by their sons or son-in law. in 1892 tax was paid by J. H. Holt. I do not have anything on the children of Jerimiah and Margaret. Do you show anything?
Do you show any Allen or williams from there in the Civil War?
