Kelly, To find your Bedford Co., TN ancestor's service, try looking into the "Civil War" Rosters home page at http://geocities.com/Area51/Lair/3680/cw/cw.html. They have done an excellent job of posting many of the Civil War rosters for all of the states who participated in the War of the Rebellion. "The American Civil War Home Page" also has many links that might be of help, including ones on prisoners-of-war. Hope this will help you. I found out quite a bit about my TX ancestors from this page.
