I was thrilled to read your response to my genforum posting. I have been searching for information on what happened to Richard's son James. (As I am for all descendants of Thomas Madison and Cynthia.
I can take you back three generations on the Rogers side back to the 1700's in SC. I will be happy to exchange my extensive Rogers and Maxwell research for your knowledge of any of the later Rogers such as Thomas Madison and his children, grandchildren, etc.
I also am interested in the Orrs as well since Rozzie Rogers married an Orr and another sister married an Orr. My computer is getting fixed in California right now and I am at the library checking my e-mail and checking out new genforum postings. Therefore, I am trying to remember Thomas and Cynthia's children off the top of my head. I am descended from Thomas' brother, Daniel W. Rogers who moved his family to southern IL in about 1869.
If you would, please contact me directly at my e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org. I hope to get my computer back within a week or so.
As I said, I can help you a great deal and I would love to know all of your Rogers info about the later lines of Thomas Madison on down.
You are correct, Thomas M. was the son of James and Susannah. I also know Susannah's maiden name as well as James' father and grandfather.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Linda Rogers Grinnell
