Looking for anyone who knows about Webbs living in Bedford County, TN, especially from 1818 to 1859. I have Isaiah Webb (b. 1796)married to Frances Elizabeth May (b. 1802). They lived in Bedford County, (Possibly near Bell Buckle).
Their kids were:
William Woodward Webb (b. 1819), m. Nancy Dunlap
Stephen Bedford Webb (b. 1821), m. Eliza Prudence Murphree
Thomas Franklin Webb (b. 1823), m. Elizabeth Clementine Loyd
Frances Evalina Webb (b. 1829), m. James Davidson Herron
Sarah Jane Webb (b. 1831), m. Horrace H. Patterson
Mary E. Webb (b. 1832), m. Robert Hall
Susannah W. Webb (1836), m. William Alexander Harston
Juliana Webb (b. 1838), m. Thomas Frank Price
Robert Isaiah Webb (b. 1843), m. Susannah Priscilla Evans
They all moved from Bedford County, in the 1850's and ended up in Benton County, Arkansas.
Isaiah filed his pension and bounty land papers as a veteran of the War of 1812 and the Creek & Seminole War of 1818 in 1850 at Bedford County. He received a pension and Bounty land of 160 acres for his service. He was in the West Tennessee Militia during each War. He was originally from Rutherford County, NC (his birth) and was in Tennessee by 1814 (when he volunteered for service in the War of 1812 at the age of 18). He married his wife in 1818 at Rutherford County, Tennessee (her home) and were in Bedford County for certain by 1823 (birth of second child (Stephen Bedford Webb, was at Bell Buckle, Bedford Co, TN).
We have a pretty good history from Isaiah to present, but we don't have anything at all on any possible brothers, sisters, cousins, or his parents. We are also interested in the May family of Tennessee. It is possible that the May Family had come from Virginia. All we know for certain is that Frances Elizabeth May married Isaiah Webb in Rutherford County, TN on Dec 1, 1818.
