PETER PRICE, FANNIE JONES PRICE, LIZZIE PRICE KELLY (WILL)
Posted by: Ed Braswell (ID *****9473) Date: October 24, 2013 at 09:49:55
  of 1477

I'm trying to locate living heirs of PETER PRICE (b. 7 Mar 1846 to Sam and Alice Price) born during his first marriage to a woman named FANNIE JONES, daughter of Ned Jones and Jennie Hall Jones (both born in North Carolina). This black family lived in Russellville in the 1840s and in Union, Greene Co, AL in the late 1850s & 60s. Peter and Fannie were married between 1866 & 1868 after he was discharged from Company A, 12th Regiment of the U.S. Colored Infantry. It is believed, based on vital records I have obtained, that Fannie and Peter lived in Tennessee after they were married. Records indicate they lived either in the Rutherford County, TN general area or in the Nashville (Davidson Co.) general area until about 1876.

During this time, four children were born to the marriage of Fannie and Peter, seq.
1) Wiley Price, b. 1869, who married Mamie McCoy in 1890, and lived in Neuville, Shelby County, Texas until his death in 1936;
2) Harrison Price, b. 1871, who married Ella Abernathy in Nashville, TN in 1891 and died in Nashville on 1 Jan 1932.;
3) Lizzie Daniel Price, b. 1872 in Rutherford Co., TN, who married Will Kelly in about 1893, and who died in BELL BUCKLE, BEDFORD COUNTY (Buried in Nashville with her father and third wife); and
4) William Price, b. 1875 and who believed to be living in 1900, however no other information has been discovered on him.

I am mainly concerned with finding the living heirs of children 2-3-4.

Harrison had at least eight children, five that lived to adulthood, seq. Mary, b. 1896, Ella, b. 1898, Elizabeth, b. 1898, and Thomas, b. 1901. I have traced these children (and their children) out, but have been unable thus far to find a living heir from any of the respective lines.

Lizzie had three children that I have identified; seq. Lizzie, b. 1894, Horace, b. 1897, and Atha, b. 1901. I have no further information on these children, except that Atha was living with his mother in BELL BUCKLE in 1930, and Lizzie & Horace were visiting their grandmother, Fannie, in 1900, in Texas with their Aunt Harriet Price (Peter's sister).

William does not appear (that I can find) in the records after the 1880 US Census (Note: Peter was remarried to a woman named Minnie in 1880 who died in 1893). Fannie believed that her grandson was alive in 1900 according to US Census. (Note: Fannie remarried to a man named Mosely Bluford in San Augustine, Texas, and lived there until her death in 1904.)

(Note: Peter remarried a third time to a woman named Mary Stewart in 1897. They had four children together.)

These living heirs of Fanny Jone Price (Harrison, Lizzie and William) are quite possibly the owners of an interest in a producing natural gas well in Texas. Any help with contact information or identification will be greatly appreciated! My email address is posted if they would prefer to initiate the contact. Thanks so much!!!
