I too, have the same block with my Roberts's as you. I have Wiley Roberts bn.1800 NC. Nothing further He first shows up in Lincoln Co Tn.(formerly part of Bedford Co. Tn)on the 1830 cesus.
Fayetteville Tn. is the county seat of Lincoln Co.named for the many people from Fayetteville NC., who lived in that area. I looked at the 1820 Census and tax records for Cumberland Co. NC. but found no Roberts's
Since your postings starting in 2006 have you moved any further with your search? Can you point me in any new directions? Thank you.
