Listed in the 1900 Census of Moore County:
1900 Census for Moore County Tenn. Enumeration 100 page 7 civil district 10: A head of Household is
Joseph Gowen age 45 with wife
Fannie age 44 b. 1854 TN
Clara 19
Lee 17
Docia 13 b. TN..

Does anyone that reads this county posting have the Moore County book that could please look up Docia to tell me what it says about this family. My interest is in Docia being a cousin to Charles Crowe Bearden in Bedford Co. TN in which he writes a letter to her in about 1911 in which she is married to a Calvin Arnold.

This Gowen family would also be the Gowen family now tied to the Flat Creek area and the First Churches of the county in which Charles C. Bearden and others was ministers.

Thank You,
