Hattie ‘Harriette’ Clark was born January 11, 1881, in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee and died between 1969-1970 in Texas. Family stories mention that she was married three times. She was married first to Henry Wilson ‘H. W.’ Woosley of Paragould, Greene County, Arkansas – Henry was born November 03, 1867 in Shelbyville, Bedford County, Tennessee and died after 1949 (will recorded that year) in Paragould, Greene County, Arkansas – they were both buried in Paragould, Greene County, Arkansas; Hattie was 90 when she died in about 1970 in Texas. Henry was cashier of the Green Bank and then National Bank of Commerce (mentioned in 1908, 1916, 1918 & 1939) in Paragould. He was on the directorate for the Paragould Co-Operative Creamery in 1918. He was on the Board of Light Plant Commissioners in 1939.
It is said that Hattie had gone to live in Texas with daughter, Mary after her last husband died. In 1900 Hattie’s sister Edna was living with Hattie and Henry in Paragould. By 1920 her sister Anna and her husband Dick Whitmore had separated and their daughter Ruth went to Paragould to stay with Hattie and Henry; Ruth married in Greene County in 1923 to Frank Gillette.
Hattie and Henry had one child:
1)       Mary H. Woolsey born about 1912 in probably Paragould, Greene County, Arkansas – Mary probably died in Chicago, Illinois. (Mary was probably named after Hattie’s sister.) Mary was in both the 1920 and the 1930 Census’ with her parents. Mary married R. C. Baxter – married in 1938 in Greene County, Arkansas.
Henry’s parents were: John H. Woosley born January 3, 1839 and died February 21, 1872 both in Shelbyville, Bedford County, Tennessee – buried Willow Mount Cemetery, Shelbyville, Bedford County, Tennessee; married Adelaide ‘Addie’ Fuqua born about 1842 and died 1894 both in Bedford County, Tennessee – married January 24, 1865 in Bedford County, Tennessee.
Any help with this family is appreciated,
