Marshall County TN did not exist until 1836 when it was formed out of portions of Maury, Lincoln and Bedford counties. So there is no 1830 Census of Marshall County.

The 1840 Census of Marshall County, TN lists 18 COLLINS households that are scattered all over the county.

George W. Collins is shown as: males 20001 and females 12001. So George was only age 20 to 30 and was probably too young to show up on the 1830 Census.

Listed right next door to George, is Henry Collins who is shown with males 0030001 and females 2110001. Henry is shown as age 40 to 50 so it is possible that he could have been George's father.

I will send you the data on the other 16 Collins households in the 1840 Marshall County Census off line, directly to your email address.
