My great grandfather was James Loyd, born 1810 Bedford
Co Tenn. He had 6 children, Sarah, Mary Ann, Jane, Cynthia,
William Riley and Joseph. William Riley was my grandfather
who died in 1887 when my father was 1 year old. James married Elizabeth Allred in Guilford Co No Carolina. I have been unble to find out any more info on James. I suspect he was related to your Loyds as similarity in names.
