Laura -

I have been using TMG for about 15 years. In all those years I have never lost data or had to restore from a backup. I like being able to create my own layout and use just the features I want. TMG is well known for its customizable narrative output but I use mostly Family Group Sheets and the Visual Chartform charts, particularly the one-page charts. I have posted some screenshots of TMG sample layouts here: http://tinyurl.com/7m6csvo

Browse the TMG Visual Chartform forum for examples of charts:

Note that this genforum list is not the primary source of information and discussion for TMG. There is a very active TMG Rootsweb mailing list and a Wholly Genes support forum
here http://www.whollygenes.com/forums201/index.php.

You can download a free 30-day trial version (the full v8 program) from here: http://www.whollygenes.com/. Give TMG a try and ask on the support forum or the mailing list if you have any questions.

Virginia
