You mention about your network card and some other devices This woud be a motherboard hardware issue. I suggest that youook in the botom left corner of your screen during boot up and look for the motherboard manufacturer or model number of your system board. OR using XP use the start menu and ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES, SYSTEM TOOLS and use System Information and get the model number for your motherboard and download the newer drivers for the hardware from the manufacturer. Then run the Windows 7 compatability scan again.
I have an ASUS board running Windows XP on a dual boot with Windows 7 Release Candidate 1 ( Pre-release). The board is from 2004 and the video card is from 2005. Some software is from 2000 and will work with Windows 7. All my hardware does. It didn't with the Beta version of Windows 7. I had to reinstall all the drivers for my motherboard and legacy devices. Then do a Windows update. The Release Candidate found all the hardware and I didn't have to reinstall my wireless network card. If your software you are using is in NTFS ( Windows 2000, NT 4 or XP) it should work..check with the software companies.
Check with TMG they might have an update that will be compatable for Windows 7. Send them an email or look on line at their site for troubleshooting or posted forums for users.
