Hi all, I am trying to sort out my mountains of research paperwork into some semblance of order! I use The Master Genealogist to record my findings. Do any of you have advice on what to do with the information about people who turn out NOT to be ancestors, or even twigs on a far branch? Now that I am up to several thousand folk in my database, who all link together in one way or another, I have difficulty in keeping the overall index in my head. So when it comes to that little bit of research that turns out not to be “mine”, I would like to record this alongside the parts that are, so that in the future, I am able to easily and quickly refer to that info. And I think it’s just as important to retain the negative result as the positive. So – what do you do? Ditch it as unimportant? Keep it along side the main (and proven) research? Keep it separate? Record it in the same way as the main data? Record it differently? Pat Notify Administrator about this message?
