Hi Jack,
I have the following the following info re-William Titsworth in Ky. in the 1820's.He lived near Paducah and was one of the justices of the peace about 1822 (then Hickman Co, now Ballard Co.), he was also appointed one of the judges of the election held that year. History of Ky pages 65 and 65.
About 1825-26 William Titsworth was appointed with several others to locate the county seat of McCracken Co. Ky in Town 6 north, Range 2 west.Between 1820 and 1826 William and Greenup (a brother??) Titsworth were part of a settlement in near Wilmington, Ky.Same book as above pages 73 and 77.
It is also interesting that there was an Anna Titsworth married William Newton in Hickman Co., Ky in the early 1840's.
According to Ky census records William was in Livingston Co. in 1810 along with Isaac, Peggy, and John Titsworth. He and his wife are also mentioned in a land record in 1818 in Livingston Co.
Was told by a fellow researcher that William may have been a surviving child of George Titsworth, (brother to Isaac) who may have been massacred in Ky in the mid to late 1700's.
This could then possibly be true of the Greenup mentioned above also.
Hope I haven't muddied the waters too much
Sarah
