There were two William A. Tisdales in Lunenburg County at this time. The one that is the brother of Hinchey is William Alexander Tisdale. He married a girl from Prince Edward County (Can't lay my hands on her name right now). The other William A. Tisdale was my GGGrandfather. He married Mary Ford, and when she died (around 1829-30) he married her sister Frances Ford.He had three children with Mary, all three born in Lunenburg as far as I can tell. About the time Mary died, he moved his family to Rutherford County (now Cleveland County), N.C.
My william A. Tisdale was born in Lunenburg County in 1800. I have spent years trying to asceertain what his "A" stands for, and who his father and mother were. He moved to Notth Carolina with the Brisendines and Fords.
Do you have anything that might help??
