Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I believe your Grandfather and my grandfather were either brothers or 1st cousins. My grandfather Michael came from San Fele, Italy which was a little bit north of Bella. He was born in 1880 and moved to NYC around the turn of the century. Your Grandfather and my Grandfather may have come from the Patrones or ruling family in Muro Lucano, Italy. Other brothers included Pasquale, Frank, Vincent, Joseph, and Benjamin. Deborah Tirico, who lives in Montclair, NJ attempted a family tree and she relayed this information to me. She told me there are over 40 families and 200 Tiricos living in the US, all descendants of these 9 brothers. Of course, circumstances caused separations in the original families and most of us have never met each other. Maybe someday, we could all have a big family reunion and see how many of us resemble each other. My Grandfather Michael had 2 sons and a daughter. One of his sons, Joseph was born in 1913 and they lived at 65 Mott Street in NYC. He married and had 3 children, 1 son and 2 daughers. I his son Joseph Jr. was born in 1944 and had 4 sons, Craig, Brian, Joseph III and Richard. We lived in Long Island until 1978 and we moved to Florida. We now live in Plantation, FL. Please e-mail me if you would like to know anything additional about us. So long for now, your probable Cousin Joe.
