I have a 1930 graduation certificate from nurse’s training, and a state of Illinois 1930 nurse’s license for “Gertrude Cecelia Gottwald”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members.
I found Gertrude in the 1930 census for Chicago, giving her age as 20; she was born in Michigan. An obituary for Charles D. Tipton shows Gertrude (nee Gottwald) survived. The SSDI shows a Gertrude Tipton, born 24 Jan 1910, and died in Chicago in Dec 1974.
