How I used modern maps to pinpoint the exact location of a 1732 deed

Robert Patterson lived in Sussex Co DE from 1732 - 1738. Then he lived in Augusta Co VA along Linville Creek from about 1738 until the 1760's, at which time he moved to York Co SC where he died in 1775.

I have been able to pinpoint exactly where his land was in Sussex Co DE using modern maps. I used Yahoo Maps for certain functions, and Google Maps for other specifics, plus a program called DeedMapper to close the loop. Here are the details:
