Here is his obit...unfortunately it doesn't say anything about siblings, just his wife and children.One of the people mentioned is my Grandfather.I've checked out the post G.A.R., but who knows if I researched the correct place?I'm sure I can check out the church.I forgot it was mentioned in the obit.I've been going gung ho for a few months w/it, then taking a break for a while.I get frustrated when I hit the dead ends :)

Norwood and It's Happenings
" Veteran of Leiper Post G. A. R. Taken in Death"
GEORGE TIPPING, 93 years old, veteran of the Civil War and one of the last
survivors of the disbanded General Charles L. Leiper Post 639, Grand Army of the
Republic, formerly located in Norwood, died Sunday at his home, 6800 Regent
street, in the Fortieth Ward of West Philadelphia. His funeral will take place
Wednesday from his residence. He will be buried with military honors.
Mr. TIPPING, after Leiper Post disbanded, identified himself with the Gus W.
Town Post 46 of Philadelphia. He was a member of Siloam Methodist Episcopal
Church, Paschalville.

"George Tipping, 93, Buried in Philadelphia"
The funeral of GEORGE TIPPING, aged 93 years, was held yesterday afternoon
from his late home in West Philadelphia.
He had been connected with the Atlantic Refining Company, until he was retired
several years ago.
Mr. TIIPING was a member of Colonel T. W. Guss Post Number 46 G. A. R.
He had been in good health until a fortnight ago, when he contracted a cold which
he was unable to throw off.
He was a frequent visitor to the home of his daughter-in-law, Mrs. J. HARRY
TIPPING at Media.
Surviving are five children, eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Interment was at Mt. Moriah cemetery. The pallbearers were: CHARLES
BIDDLE, WILLIAM HAMILTON, HORACE TIPPING, GEORGE R. TIPPING,
GEORGE W. TIPPING and J. HARRY TIPPING.
Note: George Tipping was the husband of Josephine (nee Young) Tipping, the daughter of
Nathan YOUNG and Catharine DOWNS of Haverford. Josephine was the older
sister of veterinarian and Recorder of Deeds, Dr. Thomas D. YOUNG, of Media, and
veterinarian, Dr. Edward J. YOUNG, of Chester City, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
