Hi again!I forgot to mention that there is a mysterious connection between the Cheseldine family, the Tippett family, the Hayden family, and the Morgan family.
For example, Ann Morgan married, first, Hezekiah Tippett, and second, Clement Gardiner.Sophia Gardiner, the daughter of Clement and Ann Morgan Tippett Gardiner married Kenelm Cheseldine.
Susanna Hayden, Eleanor Hayden, and, probably, Sophia Hayden--all daughters of Jonathan Hayden and Rebecca Tippett--all married Tippett brothers (Benjamin Tippett, Sr., John D. Tippett, and Zacheus/Zachariah Tippett).
Sophia Hayden may have, in fact, married TWO Tippetts as Sophia Tippett married Zachariah Tippett (almost certainly my ancestor Zacheus Tippett--see above).
ANOTHER Sophia Tippett (because Sophia, the wife of Zacheus Tippett, was alive and married to Zacheus in 1825) married Hezekiah Garner in 1812 and moved with Hezekiah Garner (and some Tippetts) to Ohio in 1818.
Of course, you can't help but notice the repetition of the names Hezekiah and Sophia in ALL of these families. And, as I'm sure you know, these first names are unusual in St. Mary's County in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
Anyway, thought you might be interested in all of this.let me know your thoughts and ANY information you might have.
By the way, Ann Tippett's "binding" young Vincent Tippett out to learn a trade was not at all unusual at that time.Largely it was a question of economics. The "trainers" were usually family friends and it was a way for a boy to learn a trade.Contact wasn't cut off with the boys natural family at all.
Anyway, looking forward to hearing from you!John Dobricky
