These are the 3 men named Springer Augustus in my database. Whose will do you have? I would like to verify which of the first two men was in the Battle of Tippecanoe--or perhaps they both were.

1. Springer Augustus b. April 22 1772 in Delaware, died November 7, 1811. I don't show a wife for him. He is one of 12 known children of the immigrant John Augustus born 1737 in Germany, and Elizabeth Springer born December 18, 1739, in Delaware. I *assume* this is why the name Springer was used as a first name.

2. Springer Augustus b. April 24, 1791, died October 15, 1822, in Jefferson Co., KY. Married December 4, 1812, to Nancy Kellar who died May 9, 1865. Nancy was the daughter of Rebecca Netherton (1773-1863)and Rev. William Kellar, Captain, War of 1812 (1768-1817). This Springer was the son of Jacob Augustus (1764-bef. 1811) and Sarah (Sally) Welsh who married Henry T. White after Jacob died.

3. Springer Augustus b. December 14, 1804, died February 26, 1851 in Union Twp, Ross Co., OH. He married Lucretia "Jane" Jenkins (1805-1878). He was the son of David Augustus, Sr., (1766-1842) and Ann Hart (1780-1835)
