Thomas Tinsley I b. c. 1618 in Yorkshire, England, arrived in Jamestown Colony in 1638, owned "Totomoi Plantation' in James City County, Va and died 1702 Essex County, Va. He married Elizabeth Randolph, the daughter of William Randolph, of England.

Thomas Tinsley II. b. c. 1650 and died 1716 married Elizabeth Pendleton? some say Sarah Jackson.

The Tinsley plantation "Totomoi" burned down and was rebuilt around the chimneys and was standing as late as 1972, and still in the hands of the Tinsleys.
My line is Lt. Col John George md 1st Jane Cole, 2nd Ann/Isaac George md Hester Fawdon, the daughter of Major George Fawdon and Ann Smith/ Robert George md Sarah Tinsley Elliott the widow of Thomas Elliott/Catherine George md Hugh McTyre.
