I have been working on my Pendleton line in Missouri and I came the records of A.M. Tinsley of Pike County and his wife Elizabeth on Joe Downing's site. What I am trying to determine is if this Elizabeth is the daughter of James Pendleton (1793-1852) of Amherst County, Va. and later (1833) Warren Co. Mo.. James was the son of Richard Pendleton and Mary Tinsley of Amherst Co. Va. What leads me to think this might be a possibility is this Elizabeths's age being consistent with earlier census records and that Elizabeth Pendleton's brother George Pendleton was also living in this census district of Pike County in the 1870 census.
Does anyone have any thoughts as to how I might be able to ascertain this?
