Hello Georgina and Dave: Since I last corresponded I've made some great discoveries and filled in many parts of my missing Tinney line. My GGG Grandparents were John Tinney (b 1786 St. Teath), son of William Tinney and Elizabeth Beer and Frances Medlin (b 1788, St. Teath), daughter of William and Thomasin Medlin. Among their children is John Jr (b 1822, Tintagel), but I know he didn't have a daughter named Tamsin. Perhaps his brother William or an uncle did. The name John appears in every generation at least a couple of times. The family were Bible Christians and settled in the Cobourg/Port Hope area when they came to Ontario (ca 1860's). There must be a close connection with Dave's family tree considering the "Medlin" middle name. I have got more listings for subsequent generations which we may be able to match to. I can e-mail them to you both separately. Regards David Jenkins
