Mary Elizabeth,

I wish I could help you but my Tinneys didn't arrive in the US until the early 1860's from St. Austell, Cornwall, England. One family (Richard TINNEY and Louisa JENKIN) ended up in northeastern Ohio (Trumbull County) and the other (Thomas TINNEY and Caroline PRITCHETT) in Jefferson County Alabama.
