I haven't been on this message board in awhile and see that it's been a little busy.
What I see about your Robert TINKLE is that he is not related to the Geo. W. TINKLE of Tenn that you mentioned. Your Robert's father's name was William H. TINKLE and was thought to have come from St. Brenner's Isle near Ireland or Scotland.
What I have about your Robert Francis TINKLE is that his 1st wife, Mary Owens, had died in 1878 and he married Myra Brock, and that they had 2 children, Robert Francis Jr. and Anna. Robert Jr. married __?__ and had at least 3 children, Martha, Liza, and Mollie (this might be Clara WOOD. I had info about here but cant find it right now). Much of my info comes from Phyllis CURRY who has also answered your notes.
I also had this text file that went with Robert (Sr.)'s info:
Robert was b. in MS. He fought in the civil war (Confederate)and was injured in 1862 during the battle of Shiloh. After the
war, he migrated to Calico Rock,Fulton Co. AR. and married Mary OWENS (her b.cert.says Mary Jane MARTIN and marr. cert says Mary
HILL). They had 7 children. 6 mos. after son,Asberry, was born,Mary died.The children then lived with their older brother and other relatives. Several years later, Robert Francis married Myra BROCK, and they had 2 children, Robert F. Jr. and Anna.
