Hi David!
I do believe I am descended from William Tyndale the Bible Translater. We've successfully traced our family back to the original Tindall/Tyndale who came to America from England in abt 1678 - Thomas Tindall, Sr (b abt 1636) and his wife Isabelle Chapman (b abt 1645). I have further info from record books that positively connect Thomas to William the Translater. They just don't give the direct pedigree/descendency lines records. It gives pretty extensive info on the Tindall/Tyndale family of the Mercer County, New Jersey area and surrounding areas. I only have about 100 years to account for now - William Tyndale (b abt 1495, d Oct 6, 1536) to Thomas Tindall, Sr (b abt 1636).
Have you tried checking out ? Wonderful study on William!!!
Do you have access at all to the British Museum records? I understand they're supposed to carry such records?
Please let me know if/when you find any further info. Or if you may have something else that you think may help solve my 100-year dilemma. I'll do the same. If you think there may be anything in my line that may help you, let me know.
