Bobbi Jo, My gfather Michael Timko was born in 1889 in Snakov. He emmigrated apx 1907 through Ellis Island. He married my gmother in Passaic NJ. She was from Svidnick. He had a brother who also tried to make it here but only got to Canada and then went to Argentina. He had several sisters in Snakov and I remember him getting dried mushrooms from them in the 60's (i'm 48). Snakov seems to be a small town and is apx 10 miles south of the now Polish border (S of Krakov). There were a number of Timko's there but I do not specifally remember a Mitchell. There are still two Timko's in the Snakov phone book. I've been hesitant to write them in English. The next time I'm at the FHC I will look for a Mitchell name. When did they emmigrate? This will give me a starting point. Bill McLean
