The Rent book for the Fulford Estate (see Genuki http://www.cs.ncl.ac.uk/genuki/DEV/Dunsford/RentBook.html) has an interesting entry in the Manor of Melhuish (1776). One of the lessees (I think, the leaseholding arrangement was quite strange) of the Taphouse at Vinney Mill was "Eliz: Upton now called Timewell".
