You are most likely talking about William Timberlake who moved to Rockingham County, NC around the early 1800's. I don't know the relationship of William Timberlake to the Timberlakes I know of. I have been trying to find out who John Timberlake's father was for the longest, because he had 14 Slaves and I was trying to find out where/who he got them from.

I made a timeline for my 3rd Great Grandmother Nancy Timberlake. It has information about the Timberlakes starting in 1782. The information on the Timberlakes ends in 1865 when the Slaves were freed. If you would like I can email you a copy up to 1865. It is written in Microsoft Word. I hope you can use it.

You should know that you have Scales relatives as well. John & Nancy [Timberlake] LeSeuer's daughter Elizabeth Pryor LeSeuer married James Madison Scales there in Rockingham County in 11/11/1825, Elizabeth was 18 years old at the time. The Timberlakes, Scales & LeSeuers stayed real close to each other. John LeSeuer built a home right on the property next to his daughter, only boxwood trees separated the land between them . Mary Timberlake lived across the road from the Scales & LeSeuers. They all were related by marriage & blood.
