Hi, Kara. The Richard Timberlake who married Mrs. Mary (Munden) Smith was born in 1738 in Hanover County, Virginia, probably the son of Henry Timberlake and the grandson of Francis Timberlake of Middlesex County.Richard married Mary (his second wife) in 1774.This family moved to Bourbon County, Kentucky, in 1790.Richard died there in 1807.Here is what John Allen Duncan wrote about Mary (Munden)(Smith) Timberlake in "Timberlake Tales #5, Part Two:""She was the daughter of Rachel Payne and Thomas Munden, also of Hanover County.Rachel was the daughter of John and Nancy (Page) Payne and the grand-daughter of Carter Page, all of whom migrated from England.... Thomas Munden's father was born in France and married in England before coming to Virginia.Mary Munden was born 19 May 1747."John Duncan furthermore gives a birthdate of October 4, 1782, for Nancy.Beyond this, I have no information. But we have to rule out Native American ancestry for Richard Timberlake and Mary Munden. If, as you say, Richard Timberlake's daughter Nancy married a man named Robert Trimble, and Nancy's son, Henry Timberlake Trimble, was Native American, how about the possibility that Henry's FATHER, Robert Trimble, was Native American?I know nothing whatsoever about the Trimbles. Also, pretty clearly, there were several different persons named Nancy Timberlake who somehow had Native American connections. These need to be disentangled.Maybe you could contact the persons who posted the other messages having to do with "Cherokee Timberlakes."Good luck!Larry
