Obit of James Clay Timberlake-1985
"Services for James Clay Timberlake were held at 2pm today (May 24, 1985) at the Vernie Keel Funeral Chapel. Timberlake, 82, of Amarillo, died Tuesday at St. Anthony Hospital in Amarillo.
Rev. Art Hunt offciated with burial following at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Vernie Keel.
He was born Oct. 26, 1902 in Dublin,[probably Texas] to John and Trecie Smith Timberlake.He married Katharine Capers Aug. 20, 1939, in Dallas. He was a Marine Corps veteran of WWII and a printer before his retirement in 1972 with Egan Printing Company in Denver, Colo.He was also a member of the Amarillo First Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Katharine TImberlake of Amarillo; his brother E. D. Timberlake of Dallas; four sisters, Dottie Faye Golightly of Gainesville, Vane Ryder of Seymour, Hilda Trainham of Richardson and Rudene Stone of Fort Worth; and several nieces and nephews.
Palllbearers were Clyde Golightly III, Kevin Callahan, Carroll Lee Baccus, Gary Stone, TOny Jeter and Tony Golightly."
