What is the basis of your statement that Thomas/wife Ferrell is a distance cousin to John/wife Jones who settled Tiltonsville? Richardson, in Tilton Territory state they are brothers as does Wm Haslet Jones in William Tilton: his English Origins and some American Descendants.
Thomas died in Washington Co. PA in 1793, and HIS minor children were Richard, age 19,
William, age 17, and Elijah age 15. As names were frequently repeated in subsequent generations, it does get confusing. Per Jones, John/wife Ebthorpe had Elizabeth, John, Thomas, Elijah and Richard. All this is to say--each person needs to verify all data for themselves and quote their sources so others can verify as well.
