Happy Holiday's from Tilton Branches Info, this Month was fantastic for gaining Tilton Family info from all the great families out there. I want to say thank you to Jan and Tom for their info on Dr Henry Remsen Tilton who fought the Indians and received a Medal of Honor for his courage in battle. Dr Henry Remsen Tilton was also a good friend and Doctor of Kit Carson. Dr H R Tilton was at Kit Carson's bed side when he passed. Would like to give a special thanks to Roger and Sue Cramer for all their Hard work on the Chaney,Tilton branch of the tree, it included a lot of Tilton info from Ohio and Illinois branches.
Would also like to thank Robin Boswell and family for their soon to be Corrected up dated info on the Tilton branches tree, with out this info would be an Historic Error in that branch of the tree, thank you for all the help.
Another thank you goes out to Roy and Cassie Franklin family for the Tilton branch in Brunswick Canada, if not for their hard work on that branch i couldn't of connected that Tilton branch to Clayton Tilton in New Jersey.
I also spent time to read a book named (George Fred Himself) on his life as a Whaler from Martha's Vineyard Island. It started as a 14 year old boy stowing away on a Whaling ship leaving Old Newbedford Mass. He was brother to Zebulon Northrop Tilton the famous Schooner Captain out of Martha's Vinyard Island. His true stories on the Whaleing Era of that time are a (must read), and his Historic 2000 mile treck across Alaska by dog sled to save the lives of the men from the ships that were stranded in the ice. Some of the info i found is listed in the Note page under Captain George fred Tilton in the Tilton branches tree.
I would also like to say a special thank you to Root Web and Family search for all their histoical work that they have put into their Web site's. With out them and all the other family genealogy site's the Tilton Branches tree wouldn't be here. Thank you All Carl J Tilton Sr
