Tilton's of Blackstone Mass

My mother's great grandparents were Horace Taplin and Comfort Tilton both born in Quebec Canada and married in Blackstone, Worcester, Mass. What i'm trying to find out is information on Comfort Tilton. My mother believes there is Indian heritage in her family but does not know what tribe. Her mother had pictures of Indians in her possesion and went at different times to visit with the Indians in Maine (near Portland) but when she was asked about them her mother would not talk about it. Does anyone have any information about Comfort Tilton?. Her parents were Manly Tilton and Meriam Haseltine. I can't find any information on either. Also Horace Taplin's parents were John Taplin and Susan (Sukey) Davis. I would like to find out if there is a connection to the Indian heritage, any help would be greatly appreciated.
