Deborah: Your info is correct as far as it goes. Most but not all of my info came from Elias' Henry's Confederate Recods but that was not all that helpful. It was after learning that one of John McK. Hollingsworth's younger brother's letters that he was learning from Euphemia Cunningham's sister (Lucretia)that I was able to find that Elias had married her as his 2ndwife. Subsequent Confederate Records showed that Joseph had been getting Elias' pay checks and I supposed to transfer to Lucretia in Macon. I haven't been able to find any other trace of Lucretia or Elias Henry. Joseph, his only son, was a Printer on the MobilePress Register untill about 1908 and was President of the Printer's union for some years also. He died in Ocean Springs, Miss. at the home of joh McK. Hollingsworth's home andisburied in the MobileMagnolia Cemetery on Virginia St. The name, Hendren, comes down from the 1st husband of Mary Parris who marrried a Hendren and was the father of Parirs Hendren who ran a pharmacy in NewPort, R.I. Elias Henry's name, (Elias)was from Colonel Elias Earle who raised him and left him a sizable inheritence in his will. Both Hendren and Henry are attached to Daniel who was a Lawyer and cotton farmer in Marengo and Greene County, Ala. He died in 1838, I don't know what of. His Will isin Linden courthouse, Ala. There were no children by the 2nd wife, Maria Sarah Barbour. I found Maria's grave but not Daniel's; only a probable location. The cemetery was so over-run with bramble bushes that I couldn't get into it. Elton
