Mr. Bollay, This sounds fascinating, as I am always looking for items of interest for Tillinghast articles to write. I have just finished one on Otis H. Tillinghast, who was a captain killed in Bull Run (1st Manassas) civil war battle and after whom a fort was named in Arlington, Va. As a researcher, I am constantly involved in Tillinghast databases, both in obtaining such and also in providing such. However, I am at a loss regarding Anna Tillinghast for that date. There are several previous Anna's, but the only that comes close and who did live in Boston was Anna Churchill Moulton Tillinghast. She was a suffragist, businesswoman, and a Republican party leader, but her records seem to start in 1911 in this regard. Perhaps the portrait was a wedding one, but I do not have any data on her birth, marriage, or death. She was still living in 1936. I will search more in this regard, but I would appreciate your sending me anything of interest to my email at kent.watkins@yahoo.com and I would certainly like to follow up more with you on this. Regards, Kent Watkins Notify Administrator about this message?
