If there's one thing I've learned in researching it's that 'don't believe every report' on the death of an ancestor that you read. I've got several in my liines and I'm alive today in spite of these spurious reports. Even official 'Death Records' can be misleading, especially at to dates. And then there is the matter of that name, 'SARAH'. WHILE PARDON IS ADMITTEDLY THE EMMIGRANT OF NOTE IN THIS FAMILY, HE HAD MANY CHILDREN AND YOU MAY HAVE TO DO A LITTLE SLEUTHING HERE. How many SARAH TILLINGHASTs were in that time frame who were old enough to be married to your Herrenden? By Pardon's first wife he had a son, John, who married Isobel Sayles and had children. I DON'T DO REAEARCH ANY MORE SO I CAN'T HELP YOU LOOK, BUT THE INFO IS OUT THERE. If you add 18 years to 1654, you get 1872 as a possible marriage year for this Sarah. Look into John's marriage. I'm descended from Joseph, a seventh son of Pardon's. While Pardon had other kin, brothers and sisters, in England, I haven't seen any evidence that any of them emmigrated to America. But it doesn't hurt to look at them if you run into a hard place. When I quit researching I was looking for evidence of Pardon's wife, Lydia Tabor, having married when she was 'up in age', but noting ever surfaced. The guy she was supposed to have married is buried next to his first wife who had died many years befor him.
Good Luck.Regards;ELTON
